TANZANIAN ARTISTS NOMINATED FOR PAM AWARDS 2011
Tanzanian artists have been nominated for the prestigious Pearl of Africa Music (PAM) awards competition.
A.Y, Ali Kiba, Diamond and Belle 9 were the artist Nominated for Best Male Artist from Tanzania while Lady Jay Dee, Shaa, Mwasiti and Linah who were nominated for Best Female artist from Tanzania.
Awards nominations were broadcast live on a local television stations in Uganda. Isaac Mulindwa the founder and Chairman of PAMA-Pearl of Africa Music Awards said that Ernst and Young will be the ones in charge of the voting statistics.The 2011 PAM awards are in 41 categories.
Unlike the past Pam awards events that have been run with one traditional SMS voting mode, for the first time in Pam awards history, Online voting will be second alternative for music fans in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and the entire world to vote for their favorite artists, songs and videos, over the internet daily. A successful nominee will join awards-receiving ceremony which will be held on November 5.
PAM awards 2011 will be sponsored by Airtel, Pepsi, and UBC TV in partnership with HiPipo.com
